Imagine this........

Imagine..... you walk into a huge warehouse piled high from floor to ceiling with card in every colour you can think of, embossed papers & cards, packs of 12" x 12" printed papers in lovely designs, cards & envelopes in every size you can imagine, card kits already die cut with matching backing papers, printable glossy card, vellums, CD ROMs, acrylic stamps, ribbons in all the colours of the rainbow & more in satin and chiffon and then you hear a voice telling you "Just help yourself"!!!!!!!. Yeh I know what you are thinking "In your dreams Lynda". Well I wasn't dreaming because that's just what happened to me last week. Honestly, cross my heart it did.

I was invited to visit The Cupcakecrafting Bakery and meet the bakers, a motley crew with hearts of gold who made me feel so welcome that I felt I had known them for ages. We won't mention the head baker's wife Chloe who insisted on filling my wine glass up every time I emptied it LOL. It was like winning the lottery. A crafter let loose in a warehouse full of crafting goodies what more could you want? I had taken the liberty of using Colin's car for the journey on the pretext that it was more comfortable to drive. Truth is his Qashqai is much bigger tham my Clio. I'm not as green as I'm cabbage looking as the saying goes up North!! His car was pretty full when I left I can tell you.

I also spent a brilliant day at Coleman's Craft Warehouse in Rushden on Saturday and met lots of lovely crafters. I showed them the new acrylic stamp collections which are now on the website and also the lovely With This Ring CD ROM which is a must have as the designs are stunning.

This is a card I have made using one of the sets from the Maisie the Ragdoll  collection. I stamped Maisie first and then made a mask over her and then stamped the plant and the pot  to create the detail. The fact that the stamps are acrylic makes placing the image so much easier. I used watercolour pencils to colour in the images. Very theraputic. Get lost in the doing.

The With This Ring CD ROM has some beautiful backing papers, tags, inserts and embellishments that can be used for all occasions. It's a really lovely addition to your CD ROM collection.Below is an easel card using one of the decoupage images, a pretty heart design backing paper, a matching ribbon border and finished off by adding 2 tags and a flower embellishment.

I've been given some of the finished designs for the next Cupcakecrafting CD ROM which is due to be launched at the beginning of May. I'm such a lucky girl that I have to keep pinching myself just in case I'm imagining all of this!!!

Love,
Lynda

Busy, busy, busy

Hi everyone,

It's been yet another busy week here. I was working at the Great Northern Papercrafts Show in Harrogate last weekend and boy was it busy. I helped Alison from Butterfly Kisses on her stand and the crowds at the show, especially on Saturday, were unbelievable. My legs were still "walking" when I got into bed. I saw a lot of people I hadn't seen for ages plus met quite a few Cupcakecrafting followers which was lovely.

This weekend I will be demonstrating at Coleman's Craft Warehouse and I'm a little nervous as I've not been there before. I've heard a lot about their demo days and how busy they are so I hope I do OK. The warehouse is in Rushden if you live near there. I will be showing off the With This Ring CD ROM and the stamp collections we have on the website

Here's an example of an image you could achieve using one of the collections. I've recreated this picture using the stamps by first stamping the ragdoll, masking her and then stamped the plant and the plant pot. I then coloured in the images using watercolour pencils. It's not as difficult as it looks I promise.

Well I had better get started. I've still got loads to do before I go away.
I'm visiting the "bakery" tomorrow for the first time. I will have to be up early as it's a long drive. I hope it's as nice a day weather wise as it is today. It really makes you feel good when the sun is shining doesn't it.

Have a good day,

Lynda

Oh no..... sorry

Morning everyone,

I know I promised to be a good blogger and I haven't so I'm sorry. I don't know where the time goes. The saying goes "Get lost in the doing" and boy do I get lost big time.
So where have I been and what have I been doing you ask? Well I've been to Glasgow, to the Hobbycrafts show at the SECC. I had a lovely time catching up with so many acquaintances as I missed last year's shows through ill health. It was lovely to hear your comments about Cupcakecrafting CD ROMs and how much you all like them. It was also lovely to catch up with some of my fellow exhibitors who I had not seen for a while. I went to dinner with my friends Catherine and her daughter Sarah. We were chauffeur driven by Catherine's hisband Colin in his new Jaguar, very posh. I felt like the Queen being driven down Sauchiehall Street LOL.

Since then I've been busy updating the website, making card samples, doing new projects for a magazine article that we have coming up soon. I'll let you know about that nearer the time. As soon as Bruce has the artwork done for the packaging we will have a new release on the website which has been given exclusively to Cupcakecrafting. The CD ROM is called "With this Ring" and is absolutely gorgeous.

Yesterday I got really excited because I discovered something new I could do on the website ( simple things as the saying goes). I added a new Designer mini collection as pictured on the right. It's beautiful by the way. I discovered that I could add images for all of the 15 individual designs in the collection so now you can have a good look at what is in the collection, clever stuff n'est ce pas ( bet you didn't know I could speak French too). Of course now this means I can let you see images from the CD ROMs too. Don't expect all of them for each CD ROM as I would be here for ever and a day

Well I saved the best news until last folks. Yes he has done it! I now have a pound sterling key on my keyboard and here is the proof £££££££££££££££££££££. This was my surprise when I got home from Glasgow. Thank you, thank you, thank you Colin.

Have a lovely day. I'm away to take Maisie to the grooming parlour for a much needed haircut.

Happy crafting,

Lynda
