I'm still here!!!

Hi folks,
It's been a while since I last blogged so apologies. In truth I have my good days and my bad days since my Mam died. Life has to go on I know but it's easier said than done when everything you do reminds you of how much you miss someone.

My Dad returned to his job in Egypt at the beginning of August, a big step for him and a difficult one having to repeat the events of the previous few weeks to colleagues who wanted him to know that they had been thinking of him. I missed him dreadfully and was happy to be waiting at the airport on his return 3 weeks later. Another hurdle for him going home to an empty house for the first time in over 35 years. It's hard taking his grief on as well as my own but he needs supporting at the moment and I promised Mam I would look after him for her.

Colin & I finally got our postponed holiday last week. We didn't go far just 63 miles away to Berwick on Tweed. Sharon Duncan lent us her caravan for a week. Wow what a caravan. It even had central heating. Maisie enjoyed her twice daily walks on the nearby beach and her trip on the train at Heatherslaw. I was thrilled to see the wild seals in Eyemouth harbour and again my mind drifted back to Mam because I would have been straight on the phone to her telling her all about our day.

It's my birthday on Sunday and I'm dreading it. Dad has asked all the family to go up to the cottage for the afternoon which is lovely but will be very difficult for all of us because the one person who made birthdays special will be missing.

Work is keeping me sane and it's lovely to have something to focus on. It's really busy at the moment with 3 weeks of trips down to the TV studios  for shows. Next week sees the launch of our new CD ROM Paws for Thought. I'm really excited about this one as I commisioned the artwork and set the ball rolling. Sharon Duncan has put the CD ROMs together and has done a cracking job. I do hope you all like it. Here's a sample card or two to show you what we have done. I can't wait to show all the finished samples and demos. It will be launched on Create & Craft on Friday 23rd Septmber at 11.00am so I hope you will be watching. Did I tell you it's a double CD ROM!!!!

Well it's getting late and I have a long drive down to Peterborough tomorrow for my 2 shows on Wednesday at 8.00am and 1.00pm. I'm meeting Louise at the hotel for a girly night in with MacDonalds and milk shakes. Oh the exciting life of a TV crafting superstar like what I am as my pal Wendie Rhodes calls me.

See you Wednesday
Big hugs,
Lynda

Doncaster & beyond

Morning everyone,

What a great time Bev & I had at Summer Crafting in Doncaster last weekend. We met so many lovely people, some new faces and lots of "old" acquaintances such as Tina, Betty, Mrs Ben and Denise & Ginny. Bev had a great time so much so that she wants to do it again at the NEC in November!! Thank you to everyone who came to say "Hello".

So today I'm off on my travels down the A1 to Peterborough for 2 shows tomorrow at 9.00am & 2.00pm. I hope some of you will be watching even if it's just to see the inspirational cards my great team of girls make.

Yesterday I was given the designs for the new Christmas CD ROM "A Christmas Wish". OMG they are fantastic. If you loved the Garden Delights CD ROM you will immediately want this one. Bev is talking 8" x 8" exploding boxes. I'll need a Pickfords lorry at this rate. Well, I have my car to pack and Maisie to walk before I go. She's already looking at me with the big sad brown eyes as she has seen my travel bag so I will have to redeem myself by taking her on a long walk and then bribing her with treats before I leave.

See you tomorrow.

Happy crafting,
Lynda

Life goes on......

And that's just what Mum would have said to me. I'm still struggling but it's a day at a time, some are good, some are not so good but it's early days so I keep telling myself.

So what am I up to? Well hopefully you were all watching the launch of our new collection of CD ROMs The Cookie Collection with the first title being Garden Delights which I have to say has been very well received. I've been wanting to work with this style of artwork for ages and finally got my wish when the Head Baker said "Go for it". Weren't the girls' samples gorgeous? They did me proud.

So what's next? Well Bev the Blade & I are off to Doncaster at the weekend as we have a stand there. It's stand 67 right in the bottom corner. Bev is so excited as this will be her first retail show "behind" the counter. She is counting the sleeps LOL.
I'm busy sorting out the display boards and the Head Baker has given me loads of special offers as treats for you so please keep some of your pennies at the ready. I hope to see lots of you there and meet up with some "old" acquaintances too.

Happy crafting,
Lynda

It did.....

My beloved Mum June Rose passed away on Friday 27th May after a very short battle with cancer. I was by her side as I had promised her I would be and I have to say it was the worst day of my life. My Mum was my best friend and I miss her so much. Her funeral took place on June 9th, the day after what would have been her 75th birthday. The weather put on a show for her big day and the sun shone brightly making the long journey from my parents' home near Rothbury down to the crematorium on the coast at Whitley Bay a little bit more bearable. The Northumbrian countryside was at it's best for her last journey. We had a humanist service which was lovely and I'm sure it was Mum willing me on and giving me the strength to read out a poem for her.

Afterwards we kept up a family tradition which I'm sure Mum would have loved and approved of. We went for fish & chips at Tynemouth. Mum loved to take the grandchildren on "chip safaris". The nearest fish & chip shop to the cottage is in Rothbury, 10 miles away so a long detour was always taken to spot and count pheasants, rabbits and the like before visiting the chip shop and then followed a sit down by the River Coquet whilst the feast was devoured. Happy days.
It's been 3 weeks now and I'm still numb. I keep wanting to phone her and tell her about my day and then I remember that she's not there. The photograph is of Mum taken when she was 17. It's one I remember seeing quite a few times when I was a little girl. She was quite a stunner don't you think. I do believe in guardian angels and I'm sure that Mum is perched on my shoulder watching over me now.

I love you Mum xxxx

As if things could not get any worse

Hi Everyone,

I've always had this theory in life that when things are going really well someone somewhere brings you down to earth with a bang at some point just to let you know that life is not a bed of roses.

Well someone has given me & my family the biggest kick we have had to face so far in life. As I said in my last post my Mum is in hospital at the moment with what we thought was a bad kidney infection.

Last Tuesday we were given the worst news possible. My Mum has terminal cancer and as I type this we only have a few days left with her. My heart is breaking. She's my best friend and I'm hers. The speed at which we have reached this point is beyond belief and I wake up every morning thinking it's a bad dream and then reality kicks in big time.

I was supposed to be on C&C with our new CD ROM on Tuesday morning but now you will understand why the schedule was changed. I dare not be hundreds of miles away at this point in time.

I couldn't get through this without the help & support of my good friends . You all know who you are and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there night and day for me.

My Mum is in a wonderful hospital in Rothbury. The staff are fantastic and I can't praise them enough for the care & compassion they are showing not only to my Mum but to my family too. Have you ever heard of a hospital where dogs are allowed in a patient's room or where you leave at the end of a long shift with a plate of home-made cakes. They are just wonderful people working in a magic place.

Take care

Lynda

Genuine excuse

Hi Folks,

I've just looked at the date of my last posting and gasped but I do have a genuine excuse for the lack of posts. My Mum is in hospital at the moment, not very well at all, so as you can imagine it's been a trying time for the family with hospital visits, telephone calls etc. Up until today she was in Wansbeck General hospital which is just a 15 mile round trip for me, 15 minutes there and 15 minutes back but a 100 mile round trip for my Dad. Today they are transferring her to a hospital nearer her home which now means our trips are reversed but it will be easier for Dad. She's missing Beth, their Old English Sheepdog so much. We are hoping that maybe Dad can arrange for her to see Beth in the hospital grounds as it would be a great tonic for both of them as normally Mum & Beth are inseparable.
It's great that lots of you are joining the Cupcakecrafting Members' Club and you seem to love the "Buy one get one FREE" offer on the Cupcakecrafting CD ROMs.

I've now been given a budget to go on a shopping spree for the website so watch out for some "Cupcakecrafting Sprinkles" being added very soon and if you are a club member there's a 10% discount on all products don't forget.

The Walk on the Wild Side CD ROM should been available very soon and we have a new collection being added to the Cupcakecrafting Bakery lines. The girls are busy working on samples and they are ecstatic about the designs. Bev the Blade has even bought a new printer to make samples!! Bless her.

I'll keep you posted about the new lines.

Hugs,
Lynda

It's Friday hurrah

Hi folks,

Well here we are at the start of another weekend with the hint of sunny, warm weather to come. Wasn't it brilliant weather last weekend. I stayed with my Mum and her Old English Sheepdog Ballistic Beth last weekend and had a lovely time. I was supposed to be chilling but Beth had other plans for me and just one look with her big sad brown eyes and I could not say "No". I ended up flinging her rings for her to chase for hours on end, walking her to collect the newspaper. Not an easy feat as it's nearly a 3 mile round hike to the bus shelter where the paper is left to collect. It's OK walking there because it's down hill but it's hard work coming back. They don't deliver on a Sunday  so we did a shorter walk that day. My parents live in a lovely cottage near Rothbury with no neighbours, street lights or traffic. Total peace apart from the newly born lambs bleating for their Mums. Heaven.

Well this week at the bakery we have been putting the final touches to the new CD ROM. So here's a sneaky peek at some samples. Don't tell the Head Baker otherwise he will be having me put the jam into the jam doughnuts as a punishment. Been there, done that and got the T shirt. The CD ROM is called Walk on the Wild Side and features original artwork by the very talented artist Phil Daniels. There are some really funny quotes for you to use on the CD ROM. I had to chuckle when I read them. Colin & I were responsible for some of them. All of your favourite boxes are there for you together with lots of backing papers, inserts, teabag tiles and lots more so keep watching.

Here's another teaser for you. Isn't he lovely? I want one!!! The card base is one of the 7" x 10" cards now available on the website. A pack of 25 cards & envelopes for just £5.99.
I have a craft class to prepare for tomorrow. We are going to be making posy boxes so I had better get printing. No rest for the wicked as the saying goes. Not sure what I did that was so wicked but I hope I enjoyed it LOL

Happy crafting,
Lynda

Imagine this........

Imagine..... you walk into a huge warehouse piled high from floor to ceiling with card in every colour you can think of, embossed papers & cards, packs of 12" x 12" printed papers in lovely designs, cards & envelopes in every size you can imagine, card kits already die cut with matching backing papers, printable glossy card, vellums, CD ROMs, acrylic stamps, ribbons in all the colours of the rainbow & more in satin and chiffon and then you hear a voice telling you "Just help yourself"!!!!!!!. Yeh I know what you are thinking "In your dreams Lynda". Well I wasn't dreaming because that's just what happened to me last week. Honestly, cross my heart it did.

I was invited to visit The Cupcakecrafting Bakery and meet the bakers, a motley crew with hearts of gold who made me feel so welcome that I felt I had known them for ages. We won't mention the head baker's wife Chloe who insisted on filling my wine glass up every time I emptied it LOL. It was like winning the lottery. A crafter let loose in a warehouse full of crafting goodies what more could you want? I had taken the liberty of using Colin's car for the journey on the pretext that it was more comfortable to drive. Truth is his Qashqai is much bigger tham my Clio. I'm not as green as I'm cabbage looking as the saying goes up North!! His car was pretty full when I left I can tell you.

I also spent a brilliant day at Coleman's Craft Warehouse in Rushden on Saturday and met lots of lovely crafters. I showed them the new acrylic stamp collections which are now on the website and also the lovely With This Ring CD ROM which is a must have as the designs are stunning.

This is a card I have made using one of the sets from the Maisie the Ragdoll  collection. I stamped Maisie first and then made a mask over her and then stamped the plant and the pot  to create the detail. The fact that the stamps are acrylic makes placing the image so much easier. I used watercolour pencils to colour in the images. Very theraputic. Get lost in the doing.

The With This Ring CD ROM has some beautiful backing papers, tags, inserts and embellishments that can be used for all occasions. It's a really lovely addition to your CD ROM collection.Below is an easel card using one of the decoupage images, a pretty heart design backing paper, a matching ribbon border and finished off by adding 2 tags and a flower embellishment.

I've been given some of the finished designs for the next Cupcakecrafting CD ROM which is due to be launched at the beginning of May. I'm such a lucky girl that I have to keep pinching myself just in case I'm imagining all of this!!!

Love,
Lynda

Busy, busy, busy

Hi everyone,

It's been yet another busy week here. I was working at the Great Northern Papercrafts Show in Harrogate last weekend and boy was it busy. I helped Alison from Butterfly Kisses on her stand and the crowds at the show, especially on Saturday, were unbelievable. My legs were still "walking" when I got into bed. I saw a lot of people I hadn't seen for ages plus met quite a few Cupcakecrafting followers which was lovely.

This weekend I will be demonstrating at Coleman's Craft Warehouse and I'm a little nervous as I've not been there before. I've heard a lot about their demo days and how busy they are so I hope I do OK. The warehouse is in Rushden if you live near there. I will be showing off the With This Ring CD ROM and the stamp collections we have on the website

Here's an example of an image you could achieve using one of the collections. I've recreated this picture using the stamps by first stamping the ragdoll, masking her and then stamped the plant and the plant pot. I then coloured in the images using watercolour pencils. It's not as difficult as it looks I promise.

Well I had better get started. I've still got loads to do before I go away.
I'm visiting the "bakery" tomorrow for the first time. I will have to be up early as it's a long drive. I hope it's as nice a day weather wise as it is today. It really makes you feel good when the sun is shining doesn't it.

Have a good day,

Lynda

Oh no..... sorry

Morning everyone,

I know I promised to be a good blogger and I haven't so I'm sorry. I don't know where the time goes. The saying goes "Get lost in the doing" and boy do I get lost big time.
So where have I been and what have I been doing you ask? Well I've been to Glasgow, to the Hobbycrafts show at the SECC. I had a lovely time catching up with so many acquaintances as I missed last year's shows through ill health. It was lovely to hear your comments about Cupcakecrafting CD ROMs and how much you all like them. It was also lovely to catch up with some of my fellow exhibitors who I had not seen for a while. I went to dinner with my friends Catherine and her daughter Sarah. We were chauffeur driven by Catherine's hisband Colin in his new Jaguar, very posh. I felt like the Queen being driven down Sauchiehall Street LOL.

Since then I've been busy updating the website, making card samples, doing new projects for a magazine article that we have coming up soon. I'll let you know about that nearer the time. As soon as Bruce has the artwork done for the packaging we will have a new release on the website which has been given exclusively to Cupcakecrafting. The CD ROM is called "With this Ring" and is absolutely gorgeous.

Yesterday I got really excited because I discovered something new I could do on the website ( simple things as the saying goes). I added a new Designer mini collection as pictured on the right. It's beautiful by the way. I discovered that I could add images for all of the 15 individual designs in the collection so now you can have a good look at what is in the collection, clever stuff n'est ce pas ( bet you didn't know I could speak French too). Of course now this means I can let you see images from the CD ROMs too. Don't expect all of them for each CD ROM as I would be here for ever and a day

Well I saved the best news until last folks. Yes he has done it! I now have a pound sterling key on my keyboard and here is the proof £££££££££££££££££££££. This was my surprise when I got home from Glasgow. Thank you, thank you, thank you Colin.

Have a lovely day. I'm away to take Maisie to the grooming parlour for a much needed haircut.

Happy crafting,

Lynda

Oh dear I'm at it again

Hi folks,

Yes I'm sorry it's been a week since I last blogged. It's true what they say the older you get the quicker time passes!!!. I've added several new products on the website tonight and see how dedicated I am I've even missed Eastenders to do so LOL.By special request we now have packs of 6" x 6" square cards and envelopes in packs of 10, 25 and 50 so fill your boots folks. I've also added 2 Seraphina CD ROMs and the Tumble Ted DVD ROM to the Doolicraft CD ROMs category and they are at unbelievable prices for you. If you visit the Craft Telly Forum http://www.crafttelly.com/ there's a discount code for you for 10% savings on all purchases over 10.00 but I haven't told you that mind you. Colin still hasn't changed my keyboard over. I told you the more you nag the more they dig their heels in.

Love,
Lynda

Apologies for not blogging

Hi Everyone,

Where do the days go? Apologies for my absence but it's been a busy few weeks what with TV shows, samples etc. So what's new at Cupcakecrafting? Well have you seen our fantastic "Ingredients" bag for just 9.99 (sorry I don't have a pounds sterling key on this keyboard! I keep asking Colin to change it over but you know what men are like. The more you ask the more they don't do it LOL)

I was given the brief that we had some carrier bags with the Cupcakecrafting logo on them could I think of anything we could do with them. I put my brain into gear, not easy some days, and came up with the "Ingredients" bag. In there you will find cards & envelopes in 4 different sizes, ribbons, pearlescent paper, silver mirri paper, gold pearlescent paper and, listen to this folks, a FREE CD ROM from a choice of titles. I thought that Cupcakecrafting would say "No way Lynda" but guess what they said go for it so there it is in all its glory.

I've a secret for you but I can't tell you otherwise it won't be a secret anymore however if you promise not to tell I'll give you a hint. It's about a new CD ROM, not the usual Cupcakecrafting style of CD ROM, something totally different. It will be ready in a couple of weeks time and will only be available from Cupcakecrafting so keep a look out for more information as and when nobody is looking. Remember it's a secret so keep it to yourself.

Keep crafting,

Lynda

I'm still here!

Hi Everyone,

I bet you were wondering where I've gotten to. It's been a busy week and just as Friday approaches it's just gotten busier!. I thought I only had the one TV show to prepare for next week but now it's doubled and I've got 2 shows, one on the 9th at 3.00pm and one on the 10th at 1.00pm. I had to quickly phone Colin at work to see if he can work from home on those 2 days as Maisie is not used to being left on her own all day. She won't mind having her Dad look after her as she adores him as you can see from the photo.

I've added a new page to the website to keep you up to date with our shows on Create & Craft so make sure you are a regular visitor and join me whenever you can.

There are 5 new posy box designs on the website which are beautiful and are exclusive to the website. I'm also adding lots more basics such as cards & envelopes, tape, printable papers. If you have any ideas for products you would like to see on the website please feel free to email them to me info@cupcakecrafting.co.uk and I will be pleased to hear from you.

Well hubby has phoned to say he's on his way home from work so I had better go and put the kettle on like the dutiful wife that I am (yeh and pigs can fly LOL).

Happy crafting,
Lynda

Just a quickie

Hi Everyone,

I always seem to be in a rush the day before a TV show. I think I'm well organised but I'm still playing catch up. The car is still to pack and I need to eat my crumpets and have a cuppa before I leave. I need to go before 3.00pm otherwise the traffic is terrible past the Metro Centre and the Angel of the North. I always blow him a kiss when I pass him on the way home as it means I've not far to drive. I know I'm daft but it's now official. LOL. I've some new demos for tomorrow's show. You seem to be loving the 8" x 8" cards as you are ordering lots of them. I've got some 6" x 6" ones to put on the website for next week.

Right my crumpets are getting cold so I'm off. See you tomorrow. Send in emails, lots of emails. I'm on with Martyn so you should be entertained!!!

Hugs,
Lynda

Have you seen?

Hi everyone,

It's a bit gloomy out there today so I thought I would brighten up your day by adding 5 beautiful designer mini collections to the website. The collections have not been seen before and are exclusive to the Designer downloads section as we do not intend to feature them on any future CD ROMs. If you love the new Floral Delights CD ROM you will like these too as they are in the same style. I am even learning at the same time. This collage is all my own doing. You never know what you can do until you try LOL. This is a collage of all the design sheets in the Springtime mini collection, 14 sheets in total for only 2.50. I think it's really pretty.

My tripod for my Flip camcorder has arrived so next week I'm hoping to film some tutorials for you. Another first uploading them to You Tube!!

I'm on Create & Craft on Friday afternoon at 4.00pm if you care to join me. Grab yourself a cup of tea. Mine's white with no sugar thanks.

Happy crafting,
Lynda

You just have to visit

The Ribbon Box!!

Hi folks,

Oh my goodness I'm in seventh heaven. I love ribbon and have just put a selection of  23 gorgeous colours of chiffon ribbon on the website. I will have to have them all I think and so will my pal, Sheila who as I type is busy putting in her order.

Happy crafting,

Back in the land of the living

Hi everyone,

Sorry it's been a couple of days since my last post. It's really tiring doing the TV shows especially with the long car journey I have to drive. It's a 426 mile round trip and it doesn't help when they decide to close the A1M at Dishforth and send you on a diversion that takes you down to Middlesbrough and then back on to the A1. I could have continued along the A19 and through the Tyne tunnel but I didn't have any change for the toll booth!!

I had to be up at 5.30am on sunday morning as you have to be at the TV studios at least 2 hours before your show is due to start. That's like getting up in the middle of the night in my books LOL

I'm pleased to say that you must be liking the Floral Delights CD Rom judging by your orders. I keep chiving Ben to get your orders out asap so hopefully the CDs are winging their way to you as I type.

I've added a new recipe card to the website. The designs are from CD 16 The Designer Collection and I have added the papers used for you to download. I'm really getting into the "techy" stuff on the website now and do a little dance when I get it right. Am or am I not sad?

I've got some beautiful organza ribbon to add to the website later. Sheila says to hurry up as she needs to order all 22 colours!!!.
Maisie and I had a lovely walk earlier. It's a beautiful sunny but cold winter's day here so I put on my doggie walking hat and off we went. One of the good things about winter is that if you are having a bad hair day you can hide it under a hat and nobody is any the wiser. LOL
Off for my lunch now.

Happy crafting,
Lynda

Busy day

Hi everyone,

Gosh I've not stopped all day but I think I'm just about organised. I need to do some research on a couple of names of the flowers on the Floral Delights CD ROM just in case I'm asked. Be prepared that's my motto!!

Card samples are carefully packed for their long car journey down to Peterborough, Floral Delights is installed on my laptop, demo packs are done so that only leaves my case to sort out, the car to pack and I can do that tomorrow. I really love the designs on the new CD ROM and I hope you will too. The girls have made some fantastic samples. A big thanks to Sheila, Bev, Louise, Lyse, Terry, Trish and Jennifer. Sheila made these lovely boxes. There's teabag tiles on the CD ROM too.

It's pizza tonight folks. I let Colin have his choice for our Friday night treat every now & again. Me, I prefer Chinese.

I hope you will be watching on Sunday. Spare a thought for me having to get up at 5.30am. It's not all glamour being a TV crafting superstar like what I am LOL.

See you Sunday.

Happy crafting

Another card

Hi folks,

It's nearly midnight and I'm just about to stop for tonight but before I do I thought I would show you another card. This one has been made by Louise and features one of the decoupage designs. I love the colours in this design. They look so fresh.

I'm off to lock up. Colin is in bed and Maisie is sucking on her cuddly teddy bear's nose and falling asleep on the bed in the other bedroom. Honestly she is such a big softee. I like to play a couple of games of mahjongg on my DS before I go to sleep so I will bid you goodnight.

Sweet dreams,
Lynda

Quick update

Morning everyone,
I thought I would just tease you a bit more about the Floral delights CD ROM. The samples done by my very talented girls have started to arrive. I'm supposed to be geting ready but I had to open the boxes which have just arrived and all I have to say is WOW. I am so impressed with their creations. Prepare to be amazed on Sunday folks.

Right must get ready. I'm due at the hairdresses to get my roots done. I wouldn't want you seeing my grey hairs on "root" cam now would I ? LOL

Sign up for the newsletter on the website if you haven't already done so. There's more news coming in the newsletter!

Happy crafting,
Lynda

Sunday 9 January 2011

Here's another one

Hi folks,

Busy prepping again today so missed going down to the beach with Colin & Maisie. It's been a lovely day but bitterly cold. I hope the snow stays away until after next weekend as I hate driving in the snow!!

Here's a card I made today. There's some beautiful decoupage on the new Floral Delights CD ROM. Some of it is quite challenging to cut out but I think that's half the fun. I use a scalpel and a glass cutting mat when cutting out. Your blade seems to glide and not tear the paper if you know what I mean.

Off to watch Dancing on Ice. I used to ice skate in my youth I'll have you know.

Happy crafting,
Lynda

Further update

Me yet again,
You know sometimes I surprise myself as to what I can actually achieve. I mentioned in an earlier blog that I am now a webmistress, well it seems I'm beginning to discover new talents. I have just created my first link to enable you to download some free designs. How about that then LOL? So why not click on the link and have a go. I would love for you to comment on the designs so please feel free to do so.

http://www.cupcakecrafting.co.uk/shop/cms.php?id_cms=7

I think I need to go and lie down in a darkened room for a while now as my brain is frazzled. I will give myself the night off and watch Casualty and the new series of CSI New York. I love Gary Sinise but don't tell Colin.

Happy crafting,
Lynda

Update

Me again,

Just to let you know I've added a project to the website. Hope this link works.

http://www.cupcakecrafting.co.uk/shop/cms.php?id_cms=7

Now I just have to work out how to add the free download for you. That's a bit more complicated LOL

I still have not had my lunch yet but I can hear that hubby has just come back with the shopping. If I stay here a bit longer he will have put the shopping away, made a pot of tea and made a sandwich. He is good. I've been asked to clone him but I leave that for another day.

I'll be back.

Lynda

First card from Floral Delights CD ROM

Hi folks,

Gosh look at the time !. It's nearly 2.00pm and I've not had my lunch yet. It's true what they say that when you start crafting you get "lost in the doing".

I received the completed version Of the Floral Delights CD ROM this morning. The postman used to be one of "my paper boys" when I was a distribution supervisor for a free newspaper many years ago. Makes you realise how old you are getting LOL as he's now a grown man, married with a family! I digress (not like me to do so).

Here's my first card design from the new CD ROM. As you can see it has a bit of an "art deco" look about it. I'm really pleased with it so it's inspired me and now there will be no stopping me. I hope to do a little project for you and put it on the website with the papers as a little pressie to you to give you a taste of the designs. I've never tried to do this before so please bear with me whilst I work out how to do it!! I'll tell you when it's done.

Poor Colin is out doing the food shopping. I hate doing it with a passion so bless him that's his job now. I think he quite likes it because he's always gone ages. I hope he's not too long because I'm starving and I need feeding.

Happy crafting,

Great start to the New Year

Happy New Year everyone,

I am so excited about the coming year as there are lots of new challenges in store
for me this year and one of them is demonstrating for Cupcakecrafting. I have been
eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new CD ROM and I'm pleased to tell you it's finally here.

It's called Floral Delights and is bursting with stunning designs using the beautiful
artwork by the talented Andrew Hull. Cupcakecrafting are renowned for their floral
themed CD ROMs and I have to say I think this is the best one so far.

I will be on Create & Craft on Sunday 16th January at 9.00am so I hope you will be setting your alarm clocks and joining me as we delve into the hundreds of designs featured on this CD ROM. It's going to be a very busy week for me as I have to do all my prep for the show but I'm really looking forward to it. As always I have my trusty team of helpers Sheila, Louise and Bev together with some new helpers Lyse, Trish, Jenny and Terry. Their finished masterpieces are on their way to me now. It will be like Christmas again when all their parcels start arriving.

As well as demonstrating and blogging for Cupcakecrafting I'm now a "webmistress" Is there no end to this girl's talents I hear you ask LOL. I'm very new to this "job" so I have plans to put at least one project together with a free taster for you to download at some point this week but as the saying goes "I may be some time" so please bear with me. For now I'll tempt you with an image from the cover of the booklet which accompanies the Floral Delights CD ROM to give you some idea of what you can expect.

Now I'm off to create so Colin if you read this you will have to iron your own shirts this week, sorry!!

Happy crafting,

Lynda
